big painting (four foot) that I traded for 100 beers can be seen hanging over the bar at The Know on Alberta Street
the painting that I feel is my most... well I don't really think there's a word for it. Swayze was wearing a loin cloth up until about a day or two before the 30 Rooms show at Milepost 5 when I decided, screw it, lets make this less popular but more memorable and put some bush on there
Mount Swayze
watched my favorite videos of his after he died and tried to capture their essence. they were all sold within a couple days so obviously if I was smart I'd sit around and paint Michael Jackson all day and put them on ebay but I think that sounds like a horrible idea.
show @ The Know.
Tough as Nails show
I started painting seriously in late 2007 when I moved back to Portland. sat in a room a month and did these portraits, most of which were sold or stolen. thank Haberman for pushing me to do so.
Freddie Mercury Painting
first large painting / first painting in a show. it was for an AIDS awareness show @ 100th Monkey Gallery and later hung @ The Nest. have refused all offers on it, as it's been promised to my niece when I'm dead
prior to 2007
I did a few paintings here or there, but none of them satisfied me. The main one that I remember was a portrait of Magnum PI which was eaten on, drawn on, pissed on... speaking of Magnum, how about the episode where I was the bad guy? lots of drawing throughout my life, though, and if anything I hope to one day make the pictures I gave to my friends back then worth lots of money
